The little ring boy wore a white cotton shirt and khaki shorts, and our flower girl was so cute in a light fabric sundress. All of the wedding party looked great in their wedding attire and the flower arrangements for our bouquets were the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen.

With all the pictures I wanted taken of our wedding ceremony and reception, maybe I should have bought two leather wedding albums. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. I especially wanted photos of us taking our vows under the beautiful flowered arch and satin canopy we had put up. After we were pronounced husband and wife, we left for the hotel to change from our wedding attire to our beach attire. Although a few of our wedding party went home to change into their beach clothes, there were some that decided to just wear their swimsuits under their wedding clothes. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They made such a handsome couple. After the ceremony the bride and groom left the church in a horse drawn buggy.
Since they chose a ranch to buy as their first home, they thought that would be the perfect place to hold the reception. This was a prime piece of property, with a nice house, a barn and two acres of land. I hate to admit it, but I’m a little jealous of all they have accomplished just starting out.
You could tell she put a lot of effort into planning this reception. It was absolutely perfect. All the tables had red and white checkered table cloths, with little metal buckets of wildflowers in them. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the themed wedding favors. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. With the décor consisting of hay bales and corn stalks on the barn doors, this really gave the perfect appearance of a country reception. They had things for the children to do so they could have as good a time as the grown ups. Some of the kids were bobbing for apples while others were into a wild game of horse shoes, and still others were trying their hand at line dancing. It was great fun for everyone.
Their country western wedding cake topper was very comical and the cake itself was a masterpiece of confection. It was the perfect novelty topper. Another fun reception is a beach party reception. A beach wedding ceremony is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. It’s like a romantic novel with the crashing of waves and the warm gentle breeze all around you. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous summer dresses and the groomsmen wore drawstring pants and linen shirts. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
The reception was something special too. The reception tables were decorated with gorgeous beach themed accessories. The centerpieces were little trays filled with sand and two large pillar candles with seashells, starfish and orchids all around them. I thought about a super beach wedding and reception, or maybe have it in a gorgeous garden, but I decided to have our ceremony and reception in the park. I found several perfect parks that would work fine for our wedding day.

I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I shopped around for some much needed suggestions. I found out you need to have a plan B, in case inclement weather unexpectly arises. So we arranged to have a tent set up to move the ceremony into if necessary, just as a precaution.

Plan “A” was setting up a gorgeous trellis for our ceremony to be performed under and canopies for the reception. I mainly concentrated on the decorations for our wedding table and the reception tables. With the park as our main theme, I basically had to make sure I had our table settings and maybe throw in a few extra bouquets of flowers. I decided to go with artificial flowers because I didn’t want to have our wedding to be the target of a bee swarm. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and didn’t look artificial at all. The wedding was easier than I originally thought it would be, but there were a lot of things to consider. Like, making sure there were citronella candles all around, rest rooms close by and making sure our cake was kept cool until ready to be cut.

As far as table décor, I found so many fantastic accessories for our reception. As centerpieces for our reception tables I used citronella votive candles and place them in glass globes with flowers around them, and used park bench place card holders for each guest. I found very decorative favor boxes and used them to package the chrome bottle openers we bought for our friends and family as a summer wedding theme. The most beautiful part of our wedding table was our cake with it’s gorgeous wedding cake topper.

We had a wonderful DJ that I’m sure, kept the music going long after we left for our honeymoon. If we should decide somewhere down the line to have a renewal wedding ceremony, I think I’d like to have it in the park again.

She said it beats running from store to store and all there is to do is check them out, order the ones I like and wait for delivery. What I really liked about this place I shopped was the fact they have more than just cake toppers and a ring pillow. There were all kinds of supplies and great ideas for birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers, and girls night out parties too. I didn’t know it at the time, but I found out that’s where my sister got all of her party supplies and party favors for my bridal shower she threw for me. She said mom had told her about it too.

My sister is going to have a baby in a few months and I’m throwing her a baby shower, guess where I’m getting all of my shower supplies? I’ve already been checking out some of the party favors, but I’m waiting until next week to order them. That’s when she finds out if she is having a girl or boy. I could go ahead and order everything in a non-gender color, but I’d really prefer to have a pink décor or a blue décor, with maybe an it’s a girl or it’s a boy banner.

I want to thank my mom for pointing me towards this easy way to shop, it saved me a lot of time and money. My mom also helped me so much with arranging my reception and helping me get the thank you cards all done. Thanks for all of your wonderful suggestions and all of your help, mom. This is one way of shopping that will come in handy for our anniversary someday. They had some very nice ideas for anniversaries, like decorations, cake toppers and even favor gifts for guests. I saw a lot of lovely ideas for my mom and dad’s 30th wedding anniversary. My sister and I should get together and discuss it. Their 30th isn’t that far away, no use waiting until the last minute.
